Study of Boron-modified Phenolic Fire Retardant Coating's Flame Resistance Performance by Using Cone Calorimeter

Abstract: Boron-modified phenolic finishing fire retardant coatings flame resistance performance was studied by cone calorimeter( CONE), and was compared with the performance of commercially available intumescent fire retardant coating, acrylic resin and blank sample. The results showed that compared with the other materials, the heat release rate (HRR )and total heat release(THR )of boron-modified phenolic fire retardant coatings were significantly reduced, the fire performance index(FPI)was up to 3. 78, and the amount of residual carbon increased significantly, which indicated the superior fire resistance of the coatings.

摘要: 利用锥形量热仪(CONE)对硼酚醛饰面型防火涂料的阻燃性能进行了研究,并与一般市售膨胀型防火涂料、丙烯酸树脂及空白样板进行了比对。结果表明:较其他几种材料,硼酚醛防火涂料的热释放速率(HRR)、总释放热(THR)明显降低,火灾性能指数(FPI)高达3.78,残炭量显著增加,起到了很好的防火阻燃作用。
