Authors must ensure that submissions to Paint & Coatings Industry have not been submitted elsewhere, published previously, or split into multiple publications. The submitted manuscript must not contain any plagiarism, data fabrication, or falsification. Furthermore, no content violating laws, regulations, or infringing on the rights of others should be included.
[Manuscript Content]
Paint & Coatings Industry primarily publishes research papers and
review articles related to the development, production, and application of
coatings and their raw materials. Submitted manuscripts should be
original, innovative, scientific, and practical. They should be
well-structured, clearly expressed, concise, and focused, with credible data
and reliable conclusions. Manuscripts should comply with standardization and
specification requirements.
[Formatting Requirements]
There are no specific requirements for font type, size, line spacing, or column
format. The structure and basic elements of the article can refer to those in
the corresponding sections of the electronic journal on the Paint &
Coatings Industry website. (The "Manuscript Template" can be
downloaded from the "Download" on this site.)
[Author Information, Abstract, and Keywords]
Author names should correspond with their affiliations, addresses, and
postcodes. The full name of each affiliation (with its English translation)
should be provided. A content abstract of approximately 250 words is required,
covering the research objective, methods, results, and conclusion, along with 3
to 8 keywords. An English translation of the abstract and keywords must also be
provided.
[Figures and Tables]
Figures and tables should be concise, generally not exceeding six in total.
Each figure and table should have a title in both Chinese and English. Data
from the same source should not be duplicated in both figures and tables. Original
data for figures and tables should be retained for reference. Images should be
submitted as original files and provided as attachments.
[Physical Quantities, Units, and Symbols]
Legal units of measurement must be used throughout the manuscript. If no
corresponding legal unit exists, non-standard units may be included in
parentheses with their precise meaning specified. The relevant national
standards should be followed (refer to GB 3100~3102—1993).
[Funding Projects]
Manuscripts derived from major research projects such as National Major Projects, National Programs for Science and Technology Development, National Natural Science Foundation of China, and provincial or ministerial research projects will be prioritized for review and publication. Therefore, please be sure to provide detailed information on the related research project name and its corresponding project number when submitting your manuscript.
[References]
All manuscripts must include references. Authors are encouraged to cite core
journal articles in the field and prioritize classic works or recent references
from the past five years. These references should be included as essential
citations at the end of the manuscript. All cited references must be from
publicly available publications with complete bibliographic details. References
should be numbered in the order they appear in the text. (For detailed guidelines,

[Submission Method]
The only official submission channel for this journal is through the official
website. Please submit your manuscript via the "Author Submission"
system on the Paint & Coatings Industry website at www.cn-pci.com.

The journal has never authorized any other organization or websites to provide
submission services on its behalf. Authors are advised to use the official

[Page Charge]
Once accepted, a page charge of 200 RMB per page will apply. There are no
submission or review fees. If you require expedited publication, an additional
fee of 500 RMB will apply, and the article will be published in the appropriate
upcoming issue. Invited articles are exempt from the page charge.
[Open Access and Copyright]
1. Open Access Statement: Paint & Coatings Industry flipped to an open access journal from the 1st issue of 2024. Since then, all articles, once published, are immediately and permanently available for readers to read and download free of charge. Articles published before 2024 are not open access. The copyright of these articles is held by the journal's editorial office.
2. License Policy: For all open access articles published by this journal, permitted authors and third-party reuse of the articles is defined by the following user license: Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). 4. Article Archiving Policy: All articles published in this journal are digitally archived, with both the print and electronic versions stored in the editorial office. To ensure data security, all information and related materials, such as additional information and forms provided by the authors during submission, are also archived in the editorial office. In addition to the journal's official website, all articles published historically are fully stored in databases, such as CNKI, Wanfang, CSCD, Weipu, Chaoxing, and Changjiang Library. Readers can also access these articles through these databases or platforms.
5. Author Self-Archiving: The journal allows authors to store all versions of their articles in an institutional or other repository of their choice. The article's metadata in the repository must include the standard publication information of the journal and be cited as the recommended reference.
