The Influence of Aluminum/Zirconium Coupling Dispersant on Surface Characteristics of Zircon Silicate Powder

Abstract: The zircon silicate powder was surface modified and ground with the additive of aluminum/zir-conium coupling agent. The viscosity of zircon silicate, sedimentation volume and rheology changed signifi-canthy when adding 1. 5% dispersant agent The effects of amount of coupling dispersant and times on the grinding process were discussed. The structure was characterized by IR, SEM and energy spectroscopy.The experimental results indicated that the dispersion and theology of zircon silicate power can be greatly im-proved by incorporation of aluminum/zirconium coupling agent, helping slurry preparation of zircon silicate.

摘要: 用铝锆酸酯偶联型分散剂对硅酸锆粉体进行表面改性和研磨试验。当分散剂的加入量为 1.5%时,硅酸锆的黏度、沉降体积、流变性等性质较没有改性的硅酸锆具有很明显的变化;并讨论了偶联剂加入量、时间对研磨过程的影响,并对其进行了红外、能谱、扫描电镜分析。结果表明,铝锆酸酯偶联型分散剂能使硅酸锆的分散性和流变性得到较大的改善,有利于其浆料的制备。
