Effect of Silicone Oil on Properties of Low Surface Energy Silicone Antifouling Coatings

Abstract: Silicone antifouling coatings with low surface energy are one of the most important development di-rections of non-toxic antifouling coatings. This paper studied the effect of silicone( PDMS)oil on the properties of low surface energy silicone antifouling coatings The results showed that surface energy would be decreased and antifouling property of the coatings would be increased by PDMS oil addition. The antifouling coatings showed heterogeneous phase structure by addition of PDMDPS oil, which could diffuse to the coatings surface, and changed the coating surface structure. PDMDPS oil addition could improve the antifouling property of the coatings significantly. The silicone antifouling coatings with low surface energy showed excellent stability in seawater,and the fouling marine organisms could be removed off by the effect of seawater scouring.

摘要: 低表面能有机硅防污涂料是无毒防污涂料的一个重点发展方向,本文研究了硅油对低表面能有机硅防污涂料性能的影响。结果表明,PDMS硅油的添加有利于涂层防污性能的提高。PDMDPS硅油致使涂层形成非均相结构,并能够渗出到涂层的表面,改变涂层表面结构,显著提高涂层防污性能;低表面能有机硅防污涂料在海水中具有良好的稳定性,在其表面附着的海生物经海水的冲刷可轻易脱落。
