Performance Comparison of 3PE and DPS in Protective Coatings

摘要: 分析了三层聚乙烯防腐涂层(3PE)和双层熔结环氧粉末涂层(DPS)的结构,对比了 2 种涂层的耐划伤性能、弹性模量、喷涂与质量控制、补口补伤安全性、阴极保护相容性与经济性以及其他性能,指出了3PE 的缺陷和 DPS 的优势。 并对 DPS 和 3PE 涂层进行了综合评价,指出 DPS 完全可以替代现有的 3PE 防护体系,满足实际应用的需要。

Abstract: The basic performance and composition of both three-layer polyethylene anticorrosive coating (3PE) and dual powder fusion bonded epoxy systems(DPS), especially their abrasion resistant, elastic modulus, spray process and quality control, pipeline gap coating-repair & security, cathodic protective compatibility and economy were compared in detail.The result showed that DPS, as a substitution of the existing 3PE in China, was superior to 3PE in overall protective performance capable of meeting requirement in actual application.
