    Epoxy resin coatings were prepared by using furfural and acetone as the reactive diluent, using phenolic amine curing agent(t-31), modified amine curing agent 593 and diethylenediamine(DETA) as the curing agent, and using DMP-30, triethanolamine (TEOA and 2-ethyl-4-methylimidazde(EMI )as curing accelerators. The influence of acetone/furural ratio. curing agents, reactive diluent, curing accelerators on the curing characteristics and mechanical properties of epoxy resin coatings was investigated. The optimal formula of coating system was obtained. The results showed that the different acetone/furfural ratio, the types and amounts of different accelerators or curing agents had a significant effect on the cuning properties and mechanical properties of the coatings. Changing the type and amount of the accelerator or cuning agent could adiust the initial gel time and the mechanical properties of the epoxy resin coatings.

    A water-soluble alkyd resin was synthesized via a three-stage process of alcoholysis, polyesterification and neutralization by using non-edible zanthoxylum bungeanum seed oil (ZS0), thrihydroxymethyl propane(TMP), polyatomic acids and 1,2, 4-benzeneti-carboxylic anhydride(TMA)as main raw materials. The optimal synthetic formulation of the water-soluble alkyd resin and the amount of catalyst NAOH for alcoholysis reaction were investigated. The structure of the alkyd resin was characterized by means of FT-IR and the particle size distribution. Results showed that the film properties of ZSO water-soluble alkyd resin exhibited excellent dry time, good hardness, adhesion, flexibility and water resistance when the process satisfied the following conditions: oil length 50%o, alcohol excess 10%o-12. 5%o, final acid value 60-50 mg KOH/g and mole radio of PA/IPA/BA 2: 1: 1, meanwhile, the process could bring about good economic and environmental benefits.

    A composite rough structure on copper substrate was prepared by using the high speed wire cut electrical discharge machining(hs-wedm), then was further modified with stearic acid to form a superhydrophobic surface of copper substrate. The surface morphologies chemical composition and wettability were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transformed infrared(ft-ir )spectroscopy, electrochemical measurements and water contact angle measurement. Results showed that the bump-scales composite structures were formed on the copper surface by WEDM. The as-prepared superhydrophobic surface with dual-scale roughness had a static water contact angle of 153+1.5%. The potentiodynamic polarization measurements demonstrated that the superhydrophobic surface greatly improved the corrosion resistance of copper in 3. 5wt %o Nacl solution. Moreover, the corrosion current of the superhydrophobic surface was decreased by two orders of magnitude as compared to the bare copper substrate.

    To explore the corrosion behavior of the coated vehicles under the acute environment of high salt fog in southeast coastal areas, the corrosion behavior of organic coating A C on surface of the military vehicle is studied by electrochemical Impedance spectroscopy (EIS)as exposed to the environment of high salt fog. By extracting the low frequeney impedance modulus |Z| 0.1Hz , the phase angle in high frequency region  θ 10kHz . and the relative die lectric constant  εto evaluate the corrosion protection of the coating. The result shows that the corrosion process of the coating in the salt fog environment has undergone three stages good state of corrosion protection, decreased corrosion performance and complete failure Through the analysis of three kinds of characteristic parameters, the change process of corrosion protection of the coating in the salt fog environment has been determined, which can be used as a valuable technical conference for the corrosion protection of military vehicles in the southeast coastal areas.

    Based on the finite element software SYSW ELD, the temperature field in alloy structural steel of offshore platform and liquefied natural gas(ING )modular plant, etc. by using CO, welding was simulated by three-dimensional dynamic simulation. Combined with the engineering practical welding process parameters, the heat source was modified by using thermal cycling curve as an add-weld. The temperature field distribution of above 80 C temperature was obtained by using the field test data to calibrate the heat source. The passive fireproof-ing paint (PFP)area welding exposed drawings for guiding exposing application were drawn by using simulated data. The results showed that the simulated temperature field could better predict the temperature distribution of the welding heat affected zone, which provided a theo-retical basis for the determination of the scope and the location of the PFP exposing.

    A room temperature self-crosslinkable polyacrylate (ACMA)emulsion was prepared by using acetoacetoxyethyl methacrylate(AAEM)as functional monomer through the seed emulsion polymerization, wherein the carbohydrazide(CAH)as crosslinker with different molar ratio of n(-NH2 -) therein to n(-CO-CH -co-)in AAEM was added. The optimum reaction temperature 80 C was obtained by testing the conversion rate at different temperature. Effects of the molar ratio of n(-NH2 - ) n(-c0-ch-c0-)on the gel content, water-resistance, contact angle, mechanical properties and thermal properties of the film were evaluated by using the gel content, water absorption, contact angle analyzer, mechanical testing machine and thermo gravimetric analysis. The results showed that when the molar ratio of n(-NH,-): n(-CO-CH - Co-)was 1: 1, the gel content increased to 95.78% water absorption decreased to 12.4%, contact angle was up to 94.7, tensile strength increased to 7. 3 Mpa, and the thermal stability enhanced. The waterbome varnish was prepared y using the ACMA emulsions. With the increment of n(-NH,-)n(-CO-CH2-CO-), the pencil hardness increased and the adhesion was good.

    A kind of engineering grade retro-reflective sheeting coating was presented by using hydroxyl acrylate resin as basic material, amino resin as curing agent and phosphate acid as catalyst according to the specification requirements of engineering grade retro reflective sheeting. The influence of the mass ratios of basic material. curing agent and catalyst, and the curing conditions on the performance of the coating was investigated particularly. The results showed that the crosslinking could be basically fulfilled under conditions of 90℃ for 2 min and 130℃ for 8 min with the mass ratio of basic material, curing agent and catalyst of 100: 13: 0. 4, and the properties of the coating such as solvent resistance, acid fog resistance and aging resistance were good. The hydroxyl acrylate resin based coating prepared under the conditions of 90℃ for 2 min and 140℃ for 8 min could meet the requirements of engineering grade retro-reflective sheeting coating in terms of Yensile strength and extensibility.

    Based on the reaction mechanism of geopolymer, a red-mud-based geopolymer coating has been prepared by using red mud as the main raw material and phosphoric acid as activator as well as adding appropriate amount of metakaolin and silicone defoamer. The results show that the preferable mass ratio of red mud, phosphoric acid, water, metakaolin and defoamer is 5: 5: 2. 5: 0. 5: 0. 5, by which the prepared red-mud-based geopolymer coating exhibits high temperature resistance, high adhesion, good waterproof and acid rain resistance,good fireproof and heat insulation performance.

    Non-ionic composite waterborne epoxy curing agent was synthesized by a reaction of tetraethylenepentamine(TEPA) with mixed resin of low molecular weight epoxy resin ( DER331 ) and poly glycoldiglycidyl ether(PGGE) and then blocked by composite sealing agent comprising phenyl ether(PGE)and alkyl(cp-c)glycidyl ether( AGE). The optimum synthesis conditions were investigated. The structure of the product was characterized by infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR ) and the properties of the cured film were also investigated. The results showed that the optimal conditions were as follows: the molar ratio of primary amine and epoxy group was 2. 3: 1; the initial reaction temperature was 65 C; the reaction time was 3 h and the ratio of AGE to PGE was 3: 7. Whereby, the film based on the synthesized curing agent and waterborne epoxy emulsion exhibited good corrosion resistance.

    The thermal reflective coatings applicable to top-floor room can reduce the heat from outdoors to indoors and improve the thermal environment In order to study thermal environment of the thermal reflective coatings, three different types of coatings with their total solar reflectance having 0. 79, 0. 57 and 0.05 respectively )were applied on the surface of three identical roofs having the same functionality, space layout, area, structure and orientation in Xiamen. The results show that the average air temperature of the white roof and yellow roof can decrease 0.8℃ and 0. 5℃ respectively as compared with black roof, and the average operating temperature of white roof and yellow roof can decrease 0.9℃and 0.5℃ respectively. In addition, the APMV of the white roof and yellow roof can increase 2. 2% and 0. 2% respective-ly in the range of 1. 4-1. 5 while decrease 2. 4% and 2. 0% respectively in the range of 2.2~2. 3. It is indicated that the thermal reflective coatings for non-airconditioned residential buildings in summer can improve the indoor thermal environment in zones featuring hot summer and warmer winter.

    The technology of"chimney and cooling tower unification wherein flue gas exhausts via air cooling tower is an energy saving and environmental protection process. The corrosion environment of the exhaust air cooling tower is acute. and the concrete corrosion mechanism is complex. In order to prevent the concrete corrosion and ensure the durability of the concrete structure of the tower. the anticorrosive coating on concrete surface is an effective anticorrosion method, which is characterized by cost-effective and easy-to-use. Combined with the analysis of concrete corrosion mechanism in exhaust air cooling tower, and the evaluation of coating properties including carbonation resistance, acid resistance, adhesion, chlorine anion penetration resistance, aging resistant ability and salt fog resistance, this paper recommends a solution to anticorrosion via selection of epoxy primer, epoxy glass flake intercoat and polyurethane topcoat.

    GM(1, 1 ) prediction model has been constructed according to Grey Theory. The change of gloss retention and colour aberration of the black automobile coating under the condition of dry-hot natural environment is predicted. The applicability of the constructed model in black automobile coating aging behavior was investigated. Prediction results of gloss retention and colour aberration for black automobile coating show that the prediction accuracy grade of the constructed model is 2 or above, the maximum relative error between simulation value and the actual value is 5. 4%o, and the constructed model can be used to predict the natural aging behavior of black automobile coating. It is predicted that the service life of automobile rear bumper coating is 24 months in a dry-hot natural environment in Turpan, Xinjiang, China.

    In order to study the pre-treatment technology of hot-dip galvanized steel and the protective reliability of the primer on the composite protective system, several surlace treatments including passivation, non-passivation, alcohol clean and sandblast were applied. Then the samples were prepared by spraying five kinds of primers respectively. The samples were tested by moisture-thermal and salt spray chamber. In addition, the bond strength of the films before and after the environmental test was measured by the adhesion test. The results showed that the sandblast for surface treatment of hot-dip galvanized steel was a general method for most primers. Phosphate-containing primers could help improve the adhesion and enhance anticorrosive effect of coatings on the surface of hot-dip galvanized steel. The appropriate surface treatment and primer selection of hot dip galvanized steel were also given.

    The waterborne hydroxyl acrylic dispersion is an important component of aqueous two-component polyurethane (2K-PU), which affects the dispersibility of polyiso-cyanate in water phase, diffusion and crosslinking of film and the final properties of coating The progress of the preparation process of waterborne hydroxyacrylic acid dispersion including solution polymerization process, neutralization emulsification process and solvent removal process and the research of waterborne hydroxyacrylic acid dispersion with high solid content low viscosity, high hydroxyl value and low viscosity, addition of acrylic functional monomer and fluorine silicon modification was reviewed. And finally the development trend of waterborne hydroxyacrylic dispersion was presented.

    Polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane(POSS), as a type of nano-sized organic-inorganic hybrid material, has drawn much attention in coatings industry within the last decade. This article introduces the structure, characteristics and preparation of POSS,meanwhile, describes the development of Poss-modified polymer and its application in coatings. It is indicated that POSS modification can significantly improve the thermal stability physical properties and fire retardant performance, etc. of the coatings. In addition, the future rends of the Poss-modified coatings are given.
