Preparation and Application of Coalescent Based on Polyether Polyol Esters

聚醚多元醇酯类成膜助剂的制备及其应用

Abstract: A polyether polyol ester (A) was prepared by a reaction of polyether polyols with lauric acid. The reaction conditions had been confirmed via the acid value titration:the content of catalyst p-toluene sulfonic acid was 1%o of the total weight of reactants. The mol ratio of polyether polyols to lauric acid was 3: 1. The reaction time was 5 h. Consequently the yield was 93%. The prepared A was characterized by infrared spectrum and gel permeation chromatography, and applied as coalescent in the latex paint. The results showed that A could be used in latex paint as coalescent without sacrificing the other properties of the latex paint.

摘要: 以聚醚多元醇(JH303F)、十二酸为原料进行酯化反应,得到淡黄色透明液体聚醚多元醇酯类化合物(A)。通过酸值滴定确定最佳反应条件:聚醚多元醇与十二酸的投料物质的量比为3∶1,对甲苯磺酸为催化剂且用量为反应物总量的1%,反应温度为160℃,反应时间为5 h,酯化率达到93%。采用红外光谱、凝胶渗透色谱对产物结构进行表征,并将其应用在乳胶漆配方中,测试其成膜性能。结果表明:实验成功制备了聚醚多元醇酯A,其可作为成膜助剂添加在乳胶漆中,并且不影响乳胶漆的其他性能。
