Effects of Al2O3 Nonskid Particles on Antiskid and Wear Performance of Non-Skid Coating

Abstract: This article has described the test procedures of coefficient of friction (COF), wearing of arresting cable and resistance to wear of non-skid coating system applied on ships in MIL-PRF-24667C standard. Referring to above test procedures, the tests were carried out to rolling applied non-skid coatings composed of different quantity and size of nonskid particles.Focusing on the uniformity of COF ,COF in dry, water and oily state, the initial COF and after wearing COF, wearing of arresting cable and resistance to wear of coating were studied. A mixed Al2O3 nonskid particles made up of 18, 24 and 36 mesh in the mass proportion of 1: 6: 3 was also prepared, and the non-skid rolling applied coating composed of the mixed abrasive particles was proved superior in performance of COF, abrasion of arresting cable and resistance to wear.

摘要: 介绍了美军标 MIL-PRF-24667C 中对舰船甲板防滑涂料的摩擦系数、缆绳磨损和耐磨损性的测试程序,参照测试程序对含有不同数量和粒径的Al2O3 防滑粒料的辊涂防滑涂层进行了测试,研究了防滑涂层摩擦系数的均匀性,干态、水态和油态摩擦系数,磨损前后的摩擦系数变化以及涂层的耐磨和缆绳磨损性能;用18目、24目和36目的Al2O3 防滑粒料按照1∶6∶3的质量比配制了混合防滑粒料,由该混合粒料形成的涂层被证明具有优异的摩擦系数、缆绳磨损和耐磨性能。
