Study on Synthesis Process of a Novel Cationic Acrylate Copolymer Soap-Free Latex in the Presence of Allyl Polyethylene Glycol

烯丙基聚乙二醇存在下阳离子聚丙烯酸酯无皂乳液的制备工艺研究

Abstract: A novel series of cationic acrylate copolymer soap-free latexes were synthetized semi-continuous copolymerization with functional monomers allyl polyethylene glycol via seed(APEG-2400) and methacryloyloxyethyl trimethyl ammonium chloride (DMC)and other acrylate monomers and 2, 2'-azobis[2-(2-imidazolin-2-y)propane] dihydrochloride(AIBI,VA-440) as initiator. FT-IR spectrum showed that all monomers were copolymerized.The effects of dosages of APEG-2400, DMC and AIBI on copolymerization and latex properties were valued by particle size and its dispersity determination, zeta potential and viscosity of target latexes. The results indicated that a stable and good appearance cationic acrylate copolymer soap-free latex could be obtained under condition of APEG-2400, AIBI and DMC 3.0%, 1.2% and 3. 0% respectively.

摘要: 以烯丙基聚乙二醇(APEG-2400)和甲基丙烯酰氧乙基三甲基氯化铵(DMC)为功能单体,以 2,2′-偶氮二异丙基咪唑啉盐酸盐(AIBI,VA-440)为引发剂,通过种子半连续乳液聚合法制备新型阳离子聚丙烯酸酯无皂乳液。 红外光谱(FT-IR)证实了各种单体均参加了共聚反应;通过测定乳液的粒径分布、Zeta 电位及黏度,考察了 APEG-2400、AIBI 及 DMC 用量对乳液聚合过程的影响。结果表明:当 APEG-2400 用量为 3.0%,AIBI 用量为 1.2%,DMC 用量为 3.0%时,可制得具有良好外观且性能稳定的阳离子聚丙烯酸酯无皂乳液。
