Influence of SiO2 Hollow Nanospheres Modified with Silane Coupling Agent on Pure Acrylic Emulsion Properties

硅烷偶联剂改性空心 SiO2 纳米球对纯丙乳液性能的影响

Abstract: The Si0 hollow nanospheres was modified with silane coupling agent(A-172), which effectively enhanceed the hydrophobic ability and avoided agglomeration due to the enrichment of C=C bonds on its surface when modified with A-172. The modified SiO2 A-172 hollow nanospheres were then introduced into the pure acrylic emulsion system to study their influence on the properties of the emulsion. The as-obtained samples were further characterized by high resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM), scanning electron microscope(SEM), fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR), thermal grmetric analysis(TGA) and adhesion test to investigate their structure and morphology. The result indicated that the modified SiO2 hollow nanospheres exhibited high dispersion stability in organic solutions after modification with A-172. Moreover, the thermal stability and adhesion of pure acrylic emulsion were improved significantly by the introduction of A-172 modified SiO2 hollow nanospheres.

摘要: 采用硅烷偶联剂 A-172 改性空心 SiO2 纳米球,使其表面带有富含碳碳双键的活性基团,有效地增强了空心 SiO2 纳米球的疏水性,明显减少了团聚现象。 进一步将其引入到纯丙乳液中,研究了其对纯丙乳液性能的影响。 使用扫描电镜( SEM) 、高倍透射电镜( HRTEM)观察了改性前后空心 SiO2 纳米球的形貌;使用傅里叶红外( FT - IR) 、热重分析( TG) 、附着力测试等对改性纯丙乳液的结构及性能进行了表征。 结果表明:硅烷偶联剂改性后的空心 SiO2 纳米球在有机溶剂中的分散性明显强,且并未破坏其形貌结构;空心 SiO2 纳米球改性后的纯丙乳液热稳定性及附着力明显提高。
