Study of Polymerization Stability of Vi-D4 Modified Acylic Emulsion with High Amount of Siloxane

高硅含量四甲基甲乙烯基环四硅氧烷改性丙烯酸酯乳液的聚合稳定性

Abstract: The title silicone-acrylate emulsion was prepared by seeding emulsion technique, using organic siloxane intermediate which was synthesized by tetramethyl tetravinyl cyclotetrasiloxane(Vi-D4)via ring-opening polymerization and acylic monomers. Effect of pH, method of monomers charging, amount of emulsifier and intitiator on stability of emulsion polymerization was studied. It was found that with 0. 4% intitiator, of which the ratio of oxidant to redutant was 3: 2, and 3% emulsifier, the stability of emulsion was higher when ring-opening polymerization of Vi-D4 was proceeded at pH 3, and charging time of acylic monomers and siloxane intermediate was respectively 3 h and 2 h.

摘要: 以四甲基四乙烯基环四硅氧烷 (Vi-D4)为有机硅单体,在乳液体系中开环聚合得到有机硅中间体,采用种子乳液聚合工艺,与丙烯酸单体共聚得到高硅含量的硅丙乳液。研究了体系的 pH、加料方式、乳化剂的用量、引发剂的用量对乳液聚合稳定性的影响,发现 Vi-D4在 pH=3下开环聚合,引发剂用量为单体总量的 0.4%,且其配比为3∶2,乳化剂的用量为 3%,控制丙烯酸有机硅中间体的滴加时间分别为 2h和 3h制得的乳液稳定性高。
