Synthesis of Bio-based Polyester Resin and Its Effect on Product Carbon Footprint

生物基聚酯树脂的合成及其对碳足迹的影响

Abstract: In order to address the shortage of raw materials and high product carbon footprint(PCF)for petrochemical polyester resin,the effects of different bio-based monomers,such as ethylene glycol,1,3-propanediol,1,2-propanediol,1,4-butanediol,fumaric acid and 1,4-butanedioic acid on the properties of polyester resin and powder coatings were systematically studied,then the bio-based polyester resin SJ3706B for indoor thermosensitive substrates and SJ3B-6B for indoor matting decoration were synthesized by using these rules.The results showed that the performance of bio-based resin was close to that of petrochemical based resin,and some indicators were better than petrochemical based polyester resin,the PCF of bio-based polyester resin was significantly lower than that of petrochemical based resin.

摘要: 为应对石化聚酯树脂原材料种类匮乏和高碳足迹的问题。系统研究了不同生物基单体,如生物基乙二醇、 1,3-丙二醇、 1,2-丙二醇、 1,4-丁二醇、富马酸和丁二酸对聚酯树脂和粉末涂料性能的影响规律,并利用这些规律合成了户内热敏基材用生物基聚酯树脂 SJ3706B和户内消光用生物基聚酯树脂 SJ3B-6B。研究结果显示,生物基树脂的性能和石化基树脂性能接近,部分指标优于石化基聚酯树脂,生物基聚酯树脂的碳足迹显著低于石化基树脂。
