Abstract:

ISO 12944 series standards play an important role in guiding the selection and application of protective coating systems for steel structures used in various corrosive environments with different durability, the design of steel structures, types of surface and surface preparation of the substrates, performance evaluation of coating systems, execution and supervision of paint work, development of specification for projects. This paper introduces the current series standards of ISO 12944 and its adoption situation by Chinese National Standards, and the revision progress of ISO 12944 series standards at present. The main contents and the revision contents of each standard were also introduced briefly. Especially the important technical amendments to the standard can act as valuable reference for the relevant agencies and individuals during work, which are significant for the corrosion protection of steel structures.

ISO 12944系列标准对于指导各种腐蚀环境和耐久性条件下钢结构用防腐涂料体系的选择和施工、钢结构的设计、底材的表面类型和表面处理方法、涂料体系性能的评价、涂装的实施和管理以及项目技术规格书的制定具有重要作用。文章介绍了现行ISO 12944系列标准的采标情况、目前ISO 12944系列标准的修订进度,简要介绍了各个标准的主要内容和本次修订的内容,特别是标准修改的重要技术内容,以供相关机构和人员工作时参考。
