Effects of Simulated Acid Rain on Carbonate Stones Coated with Different Protective Products

摘要: 酸雨是对石材造成化学腐蚀的最重要因素之一。考察了 pH值为 4.0的模拟酸雨对两种石材有机氟硅防护材料 (Pelicoat和 Mellerud)的影响。实验结果发现随着腐蚀的进行,两种防护材料的疏水性降低,防护效果下降。SEM电镜发现用防护材料处理过的样品经过模拟酸雨 8h腐蚀后,试样表面出现大量网状孔洞。

Abstract: One of the most important factors of carbonate stone decay is the chemical attack caused by at-mospheric pollutants, such as acid rain. Simulated acid rain was used to evaluate two commercial fluoro organosilane(Pelicoat and Mellerud for the protection of carbonate stone unearthed from six dynasties carved stones in Nanjing city. The results showed that the protective efficiency and hydrophobic ability became lower with the corrosion time increased. The surface analysis of the stone samples, by SEM, showed some change in superficial morphology after 8 h acid corrosion, i. e network pores on the surface of stones.
