    A polymeric photoinitiator containing fluorine (FBPAc)was prepared by using 4-fluorophenyl-4'-hydroxyphenyl benzophenone and acryloyl chloride as raw materials via an acylation reaction. The Uv-vis absorption spectra was applied to study the absorption, degra-dation and migration performance of FBP. The real-time infrared spectroscopy (RT-IR) was used to investigate the photopolymerization kinetics of FBPAc. The results showed that the maximum absorption peak of FBPAc was 256. 2 nm and gave a little red shift as compared with BP(251.0 nm). Moreover, the relative migration rate of FBPAc was only 15% of BP.

    The adhesion of different monomers and oligomers on ABS substrate are tested and the testing results are analyzed from the view of chemical structure. It is revealed that chemical structure rather than volume shrinkage is the most important influential factor on ad-hesion, and ester bonds can improve adhesion of monomers oligomers on ABS substrate while ether bonds reduce adhesion. Three concepts are provided to estimate adhesion:concen-tration of ester bond(ces), concentration of ether bond(Cet)and their ratio(Ces/Cst).For monomers and oligomers without ether bonds, they will show good adhesion on ABS if Ces is not less than 0. 6%. For monomers and oligomers with ether bonds, they will show good adhe-sion on ABS if Ces is not less than 0.6% and ces /cet is not less than 4 simultaneously.

    In this paper, a polymerizable amine co-initiator (HMPMO)with high molecu-lar weight was synthesized via Michael addition reaction, and the photopolymerization kinetics, dynamic mechanics and water imbibition solubility, volume shrinkage and cell tox-icity as using amine coinitiator instead of 4-dimethyl aminobenzoic acid ethyl ester(EDAB) in dental composite were investigated The results showed that the rate of photopolymerization and final double bond conversion were increased with the increase of the concentration of HMPMO. Compared with EDAB, HMP MO initiator system had lower double bond conversion while other properties, such as water absorption solubility, volume shrinkage and cytotoxicity, met the requirements of dental composite.

    Two long-arm macromolecular photoinitiators (MPIs )were synthesized by iso- cyanate-terminated pre-polymer prepared through the reaction of ethoxylated pentaerythrotol/ i-pentaerythritol with PEG400, isophorone diisocyanate and Irgacure 2959. The structures of di-P MPIs were charactenzed by FT-IR and NMR spectrometer. The photodegra of MPIs was analyzed by Uv-vis spectrometer. The photopolymerization dynamics of 1, 6-hexanediol diac-rylate initiated by Irgacure 2959 or MPIs was studied by real-time FT-IR technology. The re-sults revealed that initiating efficiency of MPls were better than that of Irgacure 2959. The rate of polymerization increased with the dosage of photoinitiators. Compared with Irgacure 2959,the solubility of MPls in photocurable monomers and resins were improved, the mobility of re- sidual photoinitiator in UV-cured films was reduced. The excellent performance of the cured films initiated by MPls indicated that MPls were a kind of macromolecular photoinitiators with excellent properties.

    Organic-inorganic hybrid coatings were obtained via simultaneous thiol-epoxy- siloxane polymerization, which was initiated by photobase generators under visible LED light irradiation. Raman spectra and real -time FT-IR were employed to study the hybrid photocuring process. TEM and Xrd were performed to characterize the formation and structures of the hybrid coating. The results of property study indicated that the obtained hybrid coating possessed good thermal stability and high surface hardness.

    Using isophorone diamine (IPDA), propylene carbonate(PC), isophorone di- isocyanate(IPDI) and hydroxyethyl acrylate(HEA )as raw materials, a novel Uv-curable polyurethane acrylate( PUA was synthesized, and characterized by FT-IR. The optimized synthesis condition of the PUA was studied and their curing processes and physical properties were further investigated. The results showed that the optimum dosage of photoinitiator Irgacure 184 was 7%, whereby the final double bond conversion rate of the PUA could reach 93. 7%. Meanwhile, the cured films had better properties such as dry surface and high pencil hardness(3H).

    A UV-cured coating for polycarbonate was prepared by blending polyurethane acrylate oligomers with silica sol modified by y-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane(KH-570). The silica sol was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectrometer(FT-IR),thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA), laser particle analyzer and contact angle tester. In addition, the transmittance, haze, hardness and adhesion of the UV-cured coating were tested. The results showed that KH-570 was grafted onto the surface of nano-SiO2, and the hydrophilicity of the modified nano-SiO was decreased. When the addition of KH-570 was 60% and the modified nano-SiO2 content was 4%, the scratch resistant property of PC sheet coated with UV-cured coating improved markedly. Compared with the PC sheet coated with coating without nano-Sio2, the coating comprising 4% of the modified nano-Sio2 after scratch test exhibited the decrease rate of light transmittance decreased from 4. 5% to 1.1%, the in-crease rate of haze decreased from 21. 29% to 3.41%. The pencil hardness of the Uv-cured coating on polycarbonate reached the level of 2H.

    A hyperbranched polyurethane(HPU-OH) was successfully synthesized from isophorone diisocyanate (IP DI) and diethanolam (DEOA) via self-condensation. Mean- while, a prepolymer IP PEG200/HEA having isocyanate and double bond was synthesized from polyethylene glycol(PEG200), IPDI and 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate(HEA). Then a hy- perbranched polyurethane acrylate (HPUA) with flexible chains was synthesized by graft reac-tion of the prepared prepolymer and HPU-OH. The synthesis conditions were optimized. The structure and composition of HPUA were characterized by FT-IR, H NMR and GPC. Using I-hydroxy-cyclohexyl-phenyl-ketone Irgacure184)as a photoinitiator, the cured film of the Uv-curable HPUA was tested. The optimal synthesis conditions of IPDI/PEG200/HEA was that the composition was reacted at 35℃ for 120 min at the presence of DBTDL as a catalyst with its dosage 0. 037 5% of the weight of HEA. And the optimal synthesis conditions of HPUA was that the composition was reacted at 70℃ for 120 min at the presence of DBTDL with its dosage 0. 05 %. The number average molecular weight was 13 683 and PDI was 2.1 as observed by GPC. Compared with the commercialized product of its kind, the Uv-cured HPUA film displayed excellent properties such as fast Uv-curing speed 3 s, flexibility 1 mm, pencil hardness 2H and adhesion I level.

    A series of organic fluorine-modified UV-curable waterborne epoxy itaconic resin were synthesized from epoxy resin(E-51, itaconic acid (IA )and hexafluorobutyl methacrylate (HFMA)as main materials The effect of reaction temperature on the synthesis of resin was studied. The influence of HFMA amount on water resistance, water contact angle and mechanical properties of the cured film were studied. The modified resin was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectrometry and thermogravimetric analysis. The results showed that the comprehensive properties of the prepared resin and its coating film were excellent when the reaction temperature was 105℃ and the ratio of organic fluorine to epoxy resin was:4.After modification, the water absorption rate of the cured film decreased from 9. 14% to 4.01%, meanwhile, the water contact angle increased from 63. 26 °to 90. 05°. These revealed an obvious improvement in water resistance, hydrophobicity and thermal stability.

    In this paper, thiol-functionalized silica nanoparticles with photo-crosslinking and antibacterial properties were developed FT-IR and Raman were used to characterize the structure of hybrid nanoparticles. The functional silica nanoparticles were added to Uv-curable coating formulations. The photo-polymerization kinetics, antibacterial properties and basic coating properties of the coatings with different addition of nanoparticles were systematically in-vestigated. With a proper addition of nanoparticle in the coating formulations, the coatings ex-hibited the improved double bond conversion, excellent antibacterial activity and favorable me-chanical properties, including preferable pencil hardness, scratch resistance and thermal sta-bility.

    A fluorinated acrylate (FA) with low refractive index was synthesized based on dodecafluoroheptyl methacrylate, hexafluorobuty acrylate, n-butyl acrylate, acrylic acid and glycidyl methacrylate. The structure of FA was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and the effects of the raw materials on the properties of FA were studied.The UV-curable optical fiber coatings with refractive index less than 1. 378 0 was prepared by u-sing the main matrix FA and other additives including reactive fluorinated diluent, polyfunc-tional reactive diluent and photoinitiator. The influence of different component on the appear-ance, refractive index, viscosity, curing speed and mechanical properties of the coatings were analyzed.

    Rheological characteristic is one of the most important characteristics of liquid coatings. It might determine the usability and application performance of liquid coatings. UV- curable coating has a similar rheology issue as conventional coatings, such as leveling, settle- ment, sagging and the feeding problem caused by the rheological property. In this paper,the rheological behavior of additives in UV-curable coatings has been investigated Thus, the suit-able additives are selected to improve the leveling, anti-settling and anti-sagging perform-ance.

    An acrylic resin was prepared by using the self-prepared phosphate functional monomer. The prepared resin exhibited good aluminium-fixing effect even if not using alumin-ium-fixing additives. The effects of initiator type and amount, solvent, glass transform temper-ature, molecular weight regulator and methyl prop ylene functional monomer on the properties of the resin were discussed. The effect of phosphate functional monomer on the properties of film and its mechanism was discussed parcularly. The thermoplastic acrylic resin prepared by this method has excellent overall performance.

    The photopolymerization has developed rapidly for decades, which is efficient, enabling, economical, energy saving, and environmental friendly. However, volume shrinkag occurring in the polymerization is a major drawback for current applications. The causes and consequences of shrinkage have been introduced briefly. The method of reducing polymerization shrinkage was reviewed.
