Abstract

[Objective] To address the urgent demand for high-performance anti-corrosion coatings inside storage tanks and pipelines,a solvent-free anti-corrosion lining coating was developed.[Methods]This coating was formulated using low-viscosity phenolic epoxy resin as the primary film-forming material. Functional reactive diluents were incorporated to reduce the system viscosity, and a modified aliphatic amine was selected as the curing agent.[Results]The prepared coating exhibitedexcellent adhesion and strong wear resistance for the high cross-linking density. Furthermore,it demonstrated outstanding resistance to chemicals, salt spray, acids, alkalis, and organic solvents, fulfilling the protection performance requirements of the inner wall of storage tanks and pipelines undercorrosive environments.[Conclusion]As a solvent-free system, the coating emits extremely low levels of VOC during production and construction, aligning with environmental protection, green and low-carbon requirements.
