［Purpose/Significance］ As a low energy consumption and environmentally friendlycoating process，electron beam（EB）radiation curing technology indicated great significance to replacethe traditional thermal curing process in the field of coil coating.［Analysis/Comments/Progress］ This article systematically elaborated on the differences between EB and UV curing mechanisms，and analyzed and compared the difference between EB/UV curing systems and existing heat-curing coatingsystems. The article focused on the current industrial application status of radiation-cured coatings forPCM panels，and pointed out the current technical challenges and problems，including the adhesion， gloss control，process control and so on.［Conclusion/Prospect］ Future research should focus on building a collaborative innovation system of“material-coatings-equipment-process”to accelerate the ecological construction of industrial chain，so as to give full play to the strategic value of this technologyin achieving the“carbon peaking and carbon neutrality”goal.
