Research Progress on Self-healing Anti-icing Coating

Abstract

[Objective/Significance] Novel self-healing anti-icing coating can overcome mechanical damage and achieve long-term anti-icing/de-icing performance.[Analysis/Discussion/ Progress]Based on the healing mechanism,hydrophobic self-healing anti-icing coating,hydrophilic self-healing anti-icing coating,and other types of self-healing anti-icing coating were elaborated in detail. Meanwhile,the repair methods,anti-icing performance,and post-repair anti-icing performance of various coating were also discussed.[Conclusion/Prospect] The research progress and existingproblems of different types of self-healing anti-icing coating were clarified. In light of current trends inmaterials science,surface engineering,and intelligent response technologies,strategies for enhancingthe overall performance of such coating were further explored. This work provides insights andreferences for the future research and development of self-healing anti-icing coating.
