Research on the Performance of Fluorinated UV-curable Coatings Based on CO2-polyol

Abstract

Using CO2-polyol(PPC2000)trifluoro-octanol(TFO)isophorone diisocyanate(IPDI),andhydroxyethylacrylate(HEA)ast,he main raw materials,a,series of fluorinated polyurethane acrylates(F-PPC-IPDI-HEA) and polycarbonate-type polyurethane acrylates(PPC-IPDI-HEA)were synthesized. By blending the two obtained resins,and adding suitable photoinitiators,reactive diluents,matting agents and polyamide powders,a series of fluorinated photocurable coatings were prepared. The resins were characterized using Fourier transforminfrared spectroscopy(FT-IR)and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy(NMR),and the conversion rate of double bonds,water absorption,thermal stability and contact angles of thephotocurable coatings were tested. The results indicated that when the amount of photoinitiator1173 was 5%,the coatings exhibited a high double bond conversion rate of 92%,good thermal stability and excellent chemical resistance. When the content of fluorinated polyurethane acrylate reached 5%,the water contact angle of the coating reached 103 °,the hexadecane contact angle was 58 °,and the water absorption rate was only 0. 54%,demonstrating good oil repellency and water resistance.
