Abstract

Epoxy ester prepolymer was synthesized by esterification of unsaturated fatty acids,acrylic acid and epoxy resin,and copolymerized with dodecafluoroheptyl methacrylate(DFMA)and vinyl monomer by semi-continuous radical polymerization process to synthesizeaqueous fluorinated hybrid acrylic resin dispersion. The dispersion and film were characterized byFourier infrared spectrometer(FT-IR),energy dispersive spectrometer(EDS),thermogravimetry(TGA)differential scanning calorimeter(DSC)gel permeation chromatograph(GPC)contact anglemet,erandlaserparticlesizeanalyzer.The,effects of esterification temperature,e,poxyester dosage DFMA and initiator dosage on resin properties were systematically studied,and the cross-linking curing mechanism was further explored. The results showed that DFMA could copolymerize with vinyl monomer to form fluorinated acrylic resin. When the DFMAmonomer dosage was 9%,the particle size of the resin dispersion was less than 125 nm, showing uniform distribution and good storage stability. The water contact angle reached 96. 5 °,the adhesion was level 0,and the 10% thermal weight loss temperature exceeded 336 ℃ . At the same time,water resistance,acid resistance and alkali resistance of the film were significantly improved, effectively enhancing the comprehensive properties of conventional water-borne acrylic resin dispersion.
