Abstract

To study the effects of phosphating pollution on the curing of electrophoretic bath and the performance of the resulting paint film,as well as to provide adjustment methods, this research begins by introducing the main components of phosphating solutions and electrophoretic paints, and explaining the film formation principle and curing mechanism of electrophoretic paints. Subsequently, experiments are conducted to simulate the pollution of the electrophoretic bath by the phosphating solution, and the changes in the bath's parameters and the curing effect of electrophoresis are measured. Finally, experiments are carried out to simulate the adjustment of phosphorus contamination in the electrophoretic bath by adding yttrium acetate. The results indicate that phosphating pollution causes an increase in the curing temperature of bismuth-containing electrophoretic bath, and the addition of yttrium acetate can effectively reduce the phosphorus content in the bath solution, thereby achieving effective control over the quality of electrophoretic bath solution and paint film, enhancing the stability of the electrophoretic painting process and the quality of the products.
