Under the multiple challenges of green，energy saving，environmental protection and emission reduction，the solvent coatings used in personal computer productsmust not only meet the requirements of environmental protection and sustainable developmentpolicies，but also meet the high-quality and personalized needs of users in color and reliability，also need solve the challenges faced by cost. In response to these needs and challenges，the traditional solvent-based coating formula was reconstructed，the proportion of curing agent and thinner was adjusted，better dispersion properties of solvents were selectedand modified resin. The reliability of the newly developed low VOC solvent-based coatingsreached the same quality standards as traditional solvent-based coatings through productapplication and third-party laboratory testing results. The color meets the high quality andpersonalized needs of users，and the VOC content met the requirements of GB 30981—2020. Low VOC is the most cost-effective solution in the field of personal computers at present，also a new technological direction for the sustainable development of the industry under greenmanufacturing and clean production.
