In order to improve the stability and anticorrosive properties of the latex，gallic acid（GA）and butyl ethylene glycol ether（BE）were used as raw materials to synthesize gallic acid ester（GA-BE） as rust conversion agent，and silicone modified styrene-acrylic latex（SAL-Si） was synthesized by preemulsification-semi-continuous seeded emulsion polymerization as the film-forming material，so as to prepare gallic acid esters/modifiedstyrene-acrylic anticorrosive rust conversion latex（GA-BE/SAL-Si）. A stability analyzer was used to test the stability of the latex，neutral salt spray test，5%NaCl solution immersion test and electrochemical analysis were used to explore the corrosion resistance，and XRD，XPS， SEM，and EDS were used to analyze the surface morphology of the substrate before and after the transformation of the corrosion and the mechanism of the rust transformation. The results showed that the prepared GA-BE/SAL-Si had good stability；under 3. 5%NaCl solution immersion，the self-corrosion current density of the coated GA-BE/SAL-Si specimens wasreduced by 2 orders of magnitude compared with that of the rusted steel，and by 1 order of magnitude compared with that of the coated GA/SAL-Si specimens；the GA-BE/SAL-Si hadthe best corrosion protection effect when the GA-BE addition was 2. 0%；after 168 h of neutral salt spray test and 5%NaCl solution immersion test，GA-BE/SAL-Si coating film showedbetter corrosion resistance compared with GA/SAL-Si and GA-BE/SAL coating film；the phenolic hydroxyl group in the structure of GA-BE could chelate with corrosion to form newFe—O—C coordination bond，which could achieve the function of rust conversion，and together with SAL-Si，the coating film had good anticorrosive and rust conversion performance.
