Abstract

For the existing problems of graphene/glass flake epoxy coatings, such as high environmental pollution, short anti-corrosion period, poor flexibility, and bad applicability for traditional spraying construction,a low-viscosity solvent-free graphene/glass flake epoxycoatings was prepared. The long carbon chain carbonyl compound functionalized toughenedresin and low molecular weight liquid bisphenol A epoxy resin were used as film-formingagents,solvent-free modified alicyclic amine and phenolic amine were used as curing agents. Atthe same time, nanoscale flake graphene and glass flakes were introduced to construct a three-dimensional shielding layer. The effects of the compounding ratio of resins, the compounding ratio of curing agents, the dosages of glass flakes and graphene on the anti-corrosion performance ofcoatings were explored. The results showed that when m(E51 epoxy resin)∶m(312 resin)=2∶1, m(CK-5106 alicyclic amine)∶m(D0590 phenolic amine)=10∶1,the mass fraction of glass flakes and graphene was 20% and 0. 4%,respectively,the viscosity of the coatings at room temperature was as low as 90 KU,which was suit for traditional high-pressure airless spraying. The prepared coating showed excellent anti-corrosion performance, good flexibility, and highvolume solid content close to 100%. The coating thickness could be reduced by 60% comparedto the traditional coating, which could meet the anti-corrosion standards and requirements infields such as petroleum refining and marine engineering.
