Application of DTM powder coatings in environmental sanitation equipment industry

Abstract

In order to seek a green,environmentally friendly,energy-saving and efficientcoating technology for environmental sanitation equipment products,this paper conductedexperiments on three coating technologies which were waterborne coatings,2C2B powder coatings,and DTM powder coatings. Simulated the corresponding process by spraying samples and test vehicles along the line,and conducted performance tests such as mechanical properties,medium resistance,salt spray resistance,and aging resistance on the sample coating film,as well as analyzing the appearance quality data of the test vehicles. The resultsshowed that the application of the DTM powder coating technology achieved a salt sprayresistance of 800 h and an aging resistance of 1 000 h. Compared with waterborne coatingtechnology,it had the advantages of low cost,high quality,and good control. Compared with the primer-topcoat coating technology,it could reduce one spraying and one drying,increase efficiency by more than 20%,and reduce energy consumption by about 36%. The overall cost reduced by about 15%.
