In order to shorten the drying time of waterborne soundproof coatings,ordinary Portland cement was added as a filler into the soundproof coatings. The effect of addition amount of ordinary Portland cement on the impact insulation performance of sound insulating coatings was studied by using a simple self-developed impact sound detection device. Through scanning electron microscopy(SEM), the effect of cement on the microstructure of the soundproof coatings was analyzed. The results indicated that the addition of a certain amount of ordinary Portland cement in the soundproof coatings could trigger a hydration reaction,resulting in the formation of products such as hydrated calcium carbonate gel,which could improve the drying efficiency and soundproofing performance of the waterborne soundproof coatings. With the addition of 6% ordinary Portland cement,the drying time of the soundproof coatings could be shortened to less than 48 hours. With the addition of 4% ordinary Portland cement,the impact sound insulation performance of the soundproof coatings was improved by75%. The on-site construction of the soundproof coatings(with 4% ordinary Portland cement addition)completely dried within 48 hours,The standardized impact sound pressure level of the floor slab was 63 dB,which meet the national two-star green building standard.
