In order to effectively delay or prevent metal corrosion，adding hydrophobictwo-dimensional nanomaterials with barrier effect is one of the strategies to effectively improvethe anticorrosion performance of coatings. In this paper，the peeling method for two-dimensional nanomaterials（boron nitride and mica nanosheets），the modification method with high hydrophobicity and dispersion were mainly introduced. The corrosion resistance of two-dimensional nanomaterials in organic coatings was also discussed in detail. Finally，the future development of boron nitride，mica and other insulating nanosheet-based anticorrosion coatings was prospected，and the challenges in industrial application were also proposed.
