Abstract

In 4,4' -dicyclohexylmethane diisocyanate(HMDI),pentaerythritol triacrylate(PETA), polytetrahydrofuran(PTMEG-1000), A new type of water-based polarimetric photocurable polyurethane(BPU) containing binaphthalene groups was synthesized by 2-dimethylol propionic acid(DMPA)and S-BINOL as the main raw materials. The BPU was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy(NMR)and gel permeation chromatograph(GPC). The water-based photocurablecoatings were prepared by using BPU as the main film forming material, adding deionized water, film forming additives, coating additives and photoinitiators. The influence of the introduction of binaphthol groups on the transparency, heat insulation, thermal stability and application performance of the polymer was investigated. The results showed that the introduction of binaphthyl group into aqueous polyurethane lotion system could effectively improve the thermal insulation performance of lotion after film formation, and the prepared filmhad good transparency and mechanical properties. With the increase of BINOL content inBPU,the infrared emittance of BPU containing binaphthalene groups was significantly lower thanthat of WPU,and the infrared emittance of BPU containing binaphthalene groups decreasedfrom 0. 892 to 0. 672 with the increase of binol content. The introduction of rigid groups hadlittle effect on the transparency, and the transmittance of BPU at 550 nm exceeds 90%.
