Abstract

In order to develop a transparent coating for the surface of aircraft cockpittransparent parts with good wear resistance and UV aging resistance, simulating the cage like oligomeric sesquioxane(POSS)structure,a“polyurethane cage like polyol”was synthesized by using polycaprolactone polyol and dicyclohexylmethane diisocyanate(H12MDI)as the main raw materials and characterized. The effects of fluorinated monomers and acrylic acid containing segments on the UV aging resistance, water contact angle, and adhesion of the coating after modification of“polyurethane cage like polyols”were evaluated,as well as the effects of modified nano ceria and UV absorber dosage on the transmittance, haze,UV aging resistance, and surface state of the coating. The results showed that the expected "polyurethane cage like polyol" structural segments were prepared. The transparency of the prepared transparent coating was greater than or equal to 90%,with good wear resistance, and the wear resistance was developed with the increase of coating thickness. The use of thirteen fluorooctanol to modify the“polyurethane cage like polyol”chain segment enhanced the coating's UV aging resistance and hydrophobicity. The coating prepared by modifying the chain segment of“polyurethane cage polyol”with isocyanoethyl methacrylate improved its UV aging resistance and adhesion. The UV aging resistance of the coating was significantlyimproved after adding 0. 4% modified nano ceria and 0. 8% UV-1577,and the effect on the transmittance and haze of the coating was relatively small.
