The fluoro/silicone based ultra-slippery coating is a new kind of surface functional coating,which exhibits excellent properties such as liquid repellency,self-healing,anti-icing,anti-fingerprints,and anti-biofouling properties due to the liquid-like surface and molecular smooth character,and hence has important application potential. In this paper,the preparation principles and characteristics of two types of ultra-slippery coatings including ultra-slippery liquid infused lubrication coating(or surface)and liquid-like polymer brush coating were described. The former was prepared by infusing the porous substrate with the ultra-slippery liquid or swelling it in the coating substrate. This ultra-slippery coating(or surface)had strong lubricity and self-healing effect,but were easily eroded. The latter was prepared by chemically attaching fluorosilicon polymer brush to the substrate surface or in the coating networks,and thereby showed relatively weak lubricity but better mechanical stability. Further,the performance enhance strategies and research advances of the two coatings wereparticularly introduced. Finally,future challenges on ultra-slippery coating were also proposed.
