Preparation and Performance of Anti-stick Fluorocarbon Polyurethane Alkyd Coatings for Shared Bicycles

Abstract

This paper reported an anti-adhesive coating for metal surface of shared bicycles,so that the self-adhesive advertisement could be easily removed or naturally peeled off. Fluorocarbon branched chain urethane oil additive was prepared using aliphaticdiisocyanate,perfluorohexyl ethyl alcohol,and ricinoleic acid. The additive was added to alkydcoating to make fluorocarbon polyurethane alkyd coatings. The appropriate adding amount ofthe additive to the alkyd coating was determined through the basic property test of the resultcoating. The water absorption and oil absorption of the coating were tested. And we also testedthe contact angle of hydrophobicity and oleophobicity of the coating in the initial state,after UV irradiation,and after acid immersion. The effect of anti-adhesive for the coating wasdetermined. The results showed that adding an appropriate amount of fluorocarbon branchedchain urethane oil additive could improve the basic performance and hydrophobicity andoleophobicity of the coating for metal surface of shared bicycles. And adding an appropriateamount of linseed oil could improve the anti-adhesive for the coating.
