Abstract

To improve the anti-soiling resistance of water-based functional coatings,the water-borne silicone modified acrylate(SiPA)resin was prepared by solution polymerization, and dispersions(WSiPA) were obtained after neutralization and emulsification. Then, the WSiPA was combined with water-based curing agent(isocyanate and aziridine curing agent) to obtain water-borne silicone modified acrylate films and coating. The effects of incorporation method and types of the curing agents on the properties of cured films and coatings were mainly investigated. The results showed that the film obtained when curing agents were incorporated during neutralization and emulsification process had high tensile property and low water absorption(23. 9%),and the correspondent coating had strong hydrophobicity(water contact angle of 110. 8°),solvent wiping resistance and better soiling resistance.
