Synthesis and Properties of Perfluoropolyether-Containing Polyrethane Acrylate

Abstract

Three fluorinated polyurethane acrylates(FUA) were synthesized from isophorone diisocyanate(IPDI), Fluorolink E10H(Perfluoropolyether alcohol), hydroxyethyl methacrylate(HEMA), polyethylene glycol(PEG), polytetrahydrofuran glycol(PTMG)and polycarbonate diol(PCDL), which was added as oligomers into the UV curable coatings. The properties of contact angle,water absorption,abrasion resistance,morphology and surfacecomposition of the UV cured film were investigated. The results showed that when PCDL wasused and the content of oligomer was 2. 4%,the surface indicated a good performance. Thecontact angle of water and n-hexadecane were 114. 7° and 69. 7° respectively,and when a non-woven fabric was used as the friction medium with a load of 500 g,after 1 000 rubs,the water contact angle was107. 8°,and the coatings provided good friction resistance。
