A thin sealing layer was coated on the micro-arc oxidation film of aluminiumalloy fiber by photo-chemical sol-gel method assisted underultraviolet light. The sealing layercould seal the porous micro-arc oxidation film completely,with a significant increase of thecorrosion resistance of aluminium fiber. The corrosion resistance of the micro-arc oxidation film and sealed layer were analysed by electrochemical workstation,the result showed that the corrosion potential of aluminum alloy fiber was positively shifted form -0. 651 V to -0. 368 V. The corrosion current Icorr was decreased form 6.02×10-6 A/cm2 to 9.58×10-10 A/cm2. The polarization impedance Rp was increased from 5.4×103 Ω·cm2 to 4.5×104 Ω·cm2,and the ultraviolet light treated micro-arc oxidation sealing layer provided low corrosion rate,which ensured the beter corrosion resistance property of aluminum fiber.
