In order to prepare a temporary protective coatings for chemical milling withgood film forming property，good strippability and stable etching ratio in chemical milling liquid，a modified SBS block copolymer was prepared by styrene-butadiene-styrene（SBS） copolymer grafted with styrene，which could improve the hardness and dryness of SBS.Thecopolymer was used as the binder，mixed with the viscosity-increasing resin，reinforcing agent， fillers，additives，etc.to prepare the title temporary coatings .The test results showed that thecoatings could provided straight etch line，higher hardness，better drying and low peeling strength，meeting the requirements for the milling processing in aviation industry on theetching ratio，with comprehensive performance close to a products abroad.
