The tung oil fatty acid was produced through catalyzed-hydrolysis process withtung oil as raw material and ZnO as catalyst.The effects of hydrolysis temperature，reaction time and catalyst dosage on the hydrolysis efficiency and the quality of the final product wereinvestigated，and the experiences on effluent water treatment was shared.When the dosage of ZnO，oil-water ratio，and hydrolysis temperature and reaction time were 2%，1∶1，170 ℃and 18 hours respectively，the quality of tung oil fatty acid obtained was excellent and desirable， and the waste water could be easily treated and no pollutants were discharged.
