In recent years，cold galvanizing composite coatings system has been popularized in corrosion protection of steel bridges，but there are still many problems in application.This paper summarized the application technology of cold galvanizing composite coatings，analyzed the problems and defects in compatibility and workability，and proposed some suggestions for optimization and improvement. Regarding the coatings itself，it was necessary to improve the application performance of coatings and to solve the compatible problems with intercoat and topcoat. In terms of the application process，the appropriateprocess parameters should be selected to control the quality of the coating process. Only through the joint efforts of many parties，can avoid the failure to find the key factors andundesired compatible performance that affect the quality of coatings system，leading to coatings failure. Only doing this way，the cold galvanizing composite coatings system can meet the requirements of corrosion protection and application.
