Abstract

The natural or natural-derived products are the most effective environmentallyfriendly antifoulants for the marine antifouling coatings,and could find promising applicationsprospects. This article reviewed the the recent research progress of natural product based anti.foulants,discussed its applications and development in marine antifouling coatings,indicated the challenges of the natural-derived product antifouling coatings and forecasted the future de.velopment trend of the natural product based antifouling coatings.
