Abstract

Photo-curing technology has been extensively used in the fields of photo-curing coatings, inks, dental curing materials,adhesives,3D printing materials, etc. Compared with ultraviolet(UV)photocuring, visible light photocuring has the advantages of safety, high curing depth, and low cost of equipment. As one of the important part of photocuring system, the research progress in visible light photoinitiator in the past 2 to 3 years was reviewed, mainly involved in TPO derivatives, naphthalimides, anthraquinones, carbazoles, silicones, oxime esters, conjugated dyes, photoacid generators, and metal complexes photoinitiators. Meanwhile,a brief overview of the development direction of visible light initiators was given.
