The automatic spraying process of the two-component silicone rubber heat resistant coating TR-37G was studied in order to improve the thickness uniformity. First,the spraying parameters on the coatings automatic spraying condition and the influence of coatings thickness were studied. Then,the factors affecting coatings thickness uniformity were analyzed. Next,automatic spraying thickness of a single coat was derived theoretically. The influencing factors on the coatings thickness were analyzed. Finally,the thickness uniformity of the coatings was verified by the simulation of automatic spraying. The results showed that the spraying fan width,pump pressure,automatic control valve airflow size,spraying distance and other parameters would affect the coatings automatic spraying. The transverse thicknessu niformity was mainly affected by the axis deviation,and the longitudinal thickness uniformity was mainly affected by the height of the spray gun for the cone and column products respectively. The factors affected the coatings thickness during automatic spraying included coatings utilization rate,quantity of materiasls off the spray gun,coatings density,product diameter,spray gun moving speed longitudinaly. When the cone or column product was sprayed vertically,spraying gun moving speed at different height needed to be corrected.
