Polyester resins with terminal groups of aliphatic, alicyclic and aromatic were synthesized by special formulation and process design. The effect of different acidolysis agent on the performance of the polyester resin and coatings had been investigated. The matting performance of the polyester was investigated. The results showed that impact-resistant matting polyester could be prepared by using DDDA as acidolysis agent and the prepared polyester had lower reactivity which are suitable for preparing matting powder coatings with impact-resistant properties.
