Abstract

The formation procese, technology and formalation of the phosphating on AZ31m agnesium a-lloy are deseribed. Themechanism of crystal growth of phospheric ion and zincion around cathod, then spreaded onto the surface of alloy is proposed. Therefore a four-coat coatings system is desighed, which is tested as well. It has shown that the adhesion reaches grade 1and 400 h salt spray reaches grade 2. It is indicated that the phosphating film can effective ly improve the adhesion of orgamic coatings on Mg alloy and the corrosion resistance.
