Abstract

Through the study of the causes for poor water resistance, flocculation and viscosity increase of the title fireretardant coatings after storage, it is found that the binder and fire retardant are thema in causes of the storage instability. Utilization of modified emulsion blend and microw ave radiated intumescent retardant will greatly improve the storage stability and the water resistant time increased from 12 h to 32 h, the flame retardant time increased from 23 min to 58 min.
