Research on Anticorrosion Properties of Polycaprolactone Electrospinning Nanofibers/Epoxy Composite Coatings

A nanofiber membrane PCL/MBT with polycaprolactone (PCL) and dithiobisbenzothiazole (MBT) as corrosion inhibitors was prepared on the surface of Q345 steel by electrospinning method. Then the epoxy resin(EP) was spin-coated on the surface of nanofiber membrane to obtain a composite coating. The anticorrosion property of the coating was studied by electrochemical impedance spectrum (EIS) technique. The experiment results indicated that the nanofiber membrane could have smooth surface and uniform thickness under the condition of 12%PCL, 0.01 g/mL MBT at 25 ℃, humidity 20%, spinning voltage 15 kV, receiving distance 18 cm and solvent volume ratio of chloroform∶acetone=2∶3. The results of EIS showed that the corrosion resistance of the EP/PCL/MBT composite coating was better than that of EP/PCL or EP coating.
