    A low temperature curing accelerator is synthesized by Michael addition reaction of polyethylene polyamine and acrylate. Thus, a low temperature curing solvent-free epoxy anticorrosive coatings for ballast tank has been developed, wherein the glycidol ether epoxy resin/bisphenol A epoxy resin is employed as matrix resin and the modified cycloaliphatic amine is employed as curing agent cooperated with appropriate amount of the synthesized curing accelerator, furthermore, fillers and pigments are selected for coating modification.The coating performance and influence of different curing agent on low temperatu curing effect are investigated. The results show that the coatings give fast low temperature curing rate, excellent toughness, and great resistance to cathode stripping and salt spray corrosion.

    Three different structure of polyurethane associative thickener(HEUR) including IP-C, IP-C-T and IP-T-C were synthesized by using isophorone diisocyanate, polyethylene glycol as raw materials, trimethylolpropar as chain extender and hexadecanol as blocking agent. The FT-IR indicated that the HEUR had been obtained. The rheological behavior of the three HEURs in aqueous phase and emulsion system were studied by stress controlled rheometer. The result showed that the three HEURs gave obvious thickening and thixotropic properties and exhibited obvious shear-thinning phenomenon under high shear rate.Compared to the IP-C having linear structure, the IP-C-T and IP-T-C having star and branch structure could form more perfect and stable hydrophobic associative network in aqueous phase and emulsion, showing better thickening effect. Moreover, the IP-T-C showed the best thickening effect due to its branch structure more than others. The storage modulus (G') of IP-C-T and IP-T-C were higher than the loss modulus (G")as applied in emulsion, showing obviously the sticking behavior, which indicated the HEUR having star and branch structure gave better applications.

    TiO2 nano-particles were modified with silane coupling agent(KH-570),and then mixed with acrylic resin to form a nano-TiO2, composite acrylic resin. The scanning electron microscope (SEM)and contact angle analyzer indicated that the nano-TiO2 composite acrylic resin could form a film showing obviously micro-and/or nano-level surface structure and water contact angle increasing from 75° to 115°. The result derived from offshore field test indicated that the acrylic composite antifouling coatings based on nano-TiO2 modified with KH-570 exhibited high antifouling property and effectively inhibited the adhesion of marine organisms.

    A UV-curable antibacteria glass coatings comprising polyurethane acrylic resin40%, epoxy acrylic resin 34%, diluents 20%, photoinitiator 4% and antimicrobial agent 2% has been prepared. The coatings can form a film showing fast-curing rate, good adhesion,high resistance to acid and salt. Meanwhile, antimicrobial agent 2% can allow the coatings to show excellent antibacterial property, suitable for glass used in private and public construc-tion.

    The inorganic zinc-rich coatings have advantageous properties such as fast drying and simple application process, while overshadowed by its disadvantageous property such as crack which might result in difficult follow-up coating process. The modification of hydrolysate and formula optimization can overcome the disadvantage. The influence of components on film property is investigated. Moreover, the preparation and optimal formula of inorganic zinc-rich coatings have been described. The results indicate that zinc content, mica powder and PVB have an obvious effect on the film performance. The obtained coatings exhibit good comprehensive performance qualified to technical specifications of the nuclear power plant.

    The traditional conductors in antistatic coatings are some kind of particles, which have low conductivity. In order to improve the conductivity and other properties of antistatic coatings, nano-structure Cu fibers are introduced into epoxy coatings to form a novel composite antistatic coatings. SEM and electrochemical tests are conducted to characterize the resulted coatings. Test results show that the antistatic coating with 7% nano-structure Cu fiber has a compact structure and good corrosion resistance.

    Basalt glass powder is used as the enhancing material for solvent-free epoxy coatings. The curves of water resistance, mechanical properties, abrasion resistance as a function of the powder ratio respectively were recorded, which indicate that the best water resist-ance, mechanical properties and abrasion resistance were obtained respectively when the powder contents were 7. 5%, 12. 5% and 5%.

    The different generation hyperbranched polyesters were synthesized with 2, 2-dimethylol propionic acid as AB2 monomer and pentaerythrite as core molecule by using step-by-step polymerization process. The different generation hyperbranched polyester acrylate oligomers containing carboxyl groups were obtained by further reacting with semiadduct urethane monoacrylate and succinic anhydride. The structures of the hyperbranched oligomers were investigated with FT-IR and H-NMR. UV-vis spectra results showed that the hyperbranched oligomers had sharp absorption peak at around 210 nm. Differential scanning results showed that all the hyperbranched polyester acrylate oligomers had low glass transition temperatures. Moreover, the thermal properties of the Uv-cured hyperbranched polyester acrylate oligomers increased with the increasing of the generation number, which was characterized by differential thermal analysis.

    An APEO-free phosphate-contain antirust epoxy acrylate emulsion is prepared from epoxy ester and acrylate as basic comonomer. In order to improve the compatibility and graft of epoxy ester and acrylate, MAA and E-51 were used as raw material to prepare polymerizable EM by ring-opening esterification. Then the EM was used as the next raw material to prepare epoxy acrylate emulsion. In order to improve the antirust property of the waterborne coatings, the paper focused on waterborne emulsifying system, wherein the phosphate ester emulsifier and monomer were particularly incorporated. The result showed that the emulsion exhibited uniform and fine appearance and form a cured film without defects when the mass ratio of LCA213 to DSB was 5: 1, the composite emulsifier was 3% of the total monomer, UCAN-3 was 8% of LCA213, the APE-2005 was 4% of the total monomer, 1/4 amount of acrylic resin emulsion was added to the reactor, the dropping time was 3 hours, the reaction temperature was 85℃.

    An environmental friendly waterborne damping coatings with excellent damping properties was prepared from interpenetration polymer network (IPN) acrylic emulsion and core-shell styrene-acrylic emulsion as film -forming materials in addition to filler,flame retardant, fiber reinforced material and other functional additives. The effect of film-forming materals, filler fineness, pigmentbinder ratio, and fiber reinforced material on damping properties was examined via dynamic thermo-mechar analyzer(DMA).The results showed that damping property was excellent when emulsions were R2-2, R2-3 and R3-I with their ratio of 1: 1: 1, the mesh number of filler was 100 and 400 with ratio of 3: 1, the binder ratio was 1. 0, and the dosage of basaltfibre was 0.3%.

    A composite emulsion of waterborne polyurethane modified by isobornyl acrylate (IBOA)was prepared by copolymerization of IPDI, XCP-244 and IBOA. Influence of R value, DMPA content, DEG content, neutralization degree and reaction time on the viscosity and stability of the composite emulsion, and on water absorption and tensile strength of the cured film was studied. Thus, the suitable modifying conditions of polyurethane modified by IBOA were determined as follows: R value 1.80, DMPA content 5%, DEG content 0.75%,neutralization degree 100%, and reaction time 5 h. Furthermore, the modified WPUA composite emulsion and cured film thereof were characterized by FT-IR, DSC and tensile tester.The result showed that the cured film exhibited the improved thermal resistance and tensile strength.

    A new humidity-controlling coating based on modified fly ash for interior wall is reported firstly in this paper. The moisture absorption and desorption of the interior coatings with fly ash having different pigment volume concentrations(PVC)were investigated. indicating that the coating film had excellent humidity controlling property and the smallest contact angle when the PVC reached the critical pigment volume concentration (CPVC). The interior coating film based on fly ash had a slight change in appearance after repeated washing test. Specifically, the coating film with PVC sCPVC(e.g,4# and 5#)showed good performance qualified to the requirements of GB/T 9756-2009, suitable for application in the interior wall.

    A cationic acrylate emulsion was synthesized by synergizing the self-prepared polymer emulsifier with the alkyl quaternary ammonium emulsifier. It was proved that the minimum particle size of the emulsion having good storage stability was obtained when the mass ratio of polymer emulsifier to hexadecyl trimethyl ammonium bromid (CTAB) was 19. 6: 0.6. Meanwhile, the influence of different functional monomers on the water resistance and particle size of the polymer emulsion was studied The result showed that the cationic emulsion gave the best water resistance when the functional monomer V-389 was added, and specifically gave the lowest water absorption 3. 62% and good property when the dosage of v-389 was 1.7%( based on total weight of main monomers ).

    The fommula of silicone-acrylate emulsion system was designed so as to investigate the factors affecting polymerization stability. For example, the effects of amount,adding method, types and reaction temperature of silicone on polymerization stability were discussed.The experimental results showed that a balance of polymerization stability and water whitening was obtained and the average gel content was only 0. 09% when the amount of silicone was 5%. Furthermore, an adding method combined with core-shell polymerization could enable an optimal stability. The average gel content was the smallest when A-174 was used. The silicone-acrylate emulsion has the better average conversion rate and polymerization stability when the reaction temperature was 80°C.

    A horizontal sanding machine has been modified, which comprises four parts including frame, main shaft components, mixing grinding mechanism and cooling cycle system.Wherein, the mixing grinding mechanism consists of a grinding disc and separation rotor,wherein the wheel hub and the outer ring plate of the grinding disc is supported by three spokes having the effect of rod pin, therefore, the modified sanding machine has the effect in-tegrated with function of disc-type and rod pin-type sanding machine. The semicircle spiral groove is designed on surface of the inner cylinder which has a close contact with the outside cylinder, thus, a cooling cycle system of the semicircle spiral groove is formed to avoid short circuit of the cooling water circulation showing good cooling effect.

    With the increasingly strict environmental protection laws and regulations, a solution to the balance of coating cost and environmenta protect requirement should be provided.Thus, a series of experimental works have been carried out so as to investigate the technical parameters and quality of the single-layer waterborne pigmented paint. The result shows that the coating process can meet the truck body's quality requirements, and provides the technical support for its practical application.
